Role Summary
The Transport and Customs Coordinator manages the end-to-end flow of goods, fully overseeing both international transport and customs operations. The core mission of this role is to ensure the timely, cost-efficient, and high-quality movement of international shipments. By continuously optimizing operational processes and minimizing expenditures, this position drives the successful delivery of goods while firmly upholding both punctuality and supply chain sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Define and secure the Transport and Customs data referencing
- Establish target fl ows and volumes in preparation for transport tenders concerning my scope (International and/or local tenders) and share them with indirect purchases family and/or local buyers.
- Based on tender results, guarantee accurate referencing of transport routes, lead times, costs, to prevent any disruptions in the shipment planning and normal execution operations.
- Create and maintain shipment calendars and shipping schedules.
- Keep transport data quality, through process and tool mastering.
- Reference and update customs classifi cation, the rules of origin of products delivered in my area.
- Ensure that product listing is kept up to date in the internal customs software database (CAT) and in accordance with customs regulations.
- Collaborate with external partners (i.e customs authorities/ broker) to support in the identifi cation of customs regulations and product classifi cation (optional).
Coordinate the Transport and Customs operations
- Create the connection “with and between” the operational transport and customs teams and the other stakeholders (production, retail and logistics teams).
- Oversee the strategic and operational management of transport and customs, ensuring seamless collaboration, compliance, and proactive problem-solving to facilitate the timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure appliance of the standard operational procedures relevant to execution of transport and customs activities and communicate them with all parties involved (service providers, control towers, 3PL LLP).
- Develop contingency plans in the event of transport disruptions (e.g weather events, strikes….) and ensure coordination and communication of action plans with all stakeholders.
- Identify and anticipate transport peak season periods to maintain transport delivery promise to our customers
- Estimate and monitor transport volume activity with my service partners.
- Review and validate all transportation invoices in our systems.Manage transport and customs provisions with the accounting department.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely fl ow of all necessary import/export documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate smooth customs processes and resolve any issues.
- Maintain thorough archiving practices, conduct risk assessments, and address any irregularities to ensure compliance.
- Foster proactive communication with internal and external partners to optimize customs operations.
- Encourage quality monitoring and support post-inspection requests effi ciently.
Monitor Transport and Customs performance
- Track delivery performance indicators, including on-time delivery rates and service levels.
- Monitor my key performance indicators (Costs, Lead time, CO2, etc.) with all related parties as well as taking measures to increase effi ciency to synchronize with the united target.
- Analyze data to identify ineffi ciencies and implement appropriate action plans.
- Integrate sustainability monitoring into transport operations and carrier assessments (QMR).
- Evaluate the performance of my service providers and organize regular meetings to debrief results.
- Establish and maintain long-term performance-oriented and trusting relationships with our service providers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in logistics department.

- Work Days: 5 days a week (Monday - Friday)
- Work Hours: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
